Are there any programs at your library that you're especially proud of? Share them here to spread the good ideas!

We started a Teen Summer Reading Program in 2007 and continued the program the summer of 2008.  Some of the fun things we did were: Name that Candy Bar, a Gaming Tournament, a Murder Mystry Theater, a session on How to be a Professional Gamer, a Graphic Novelist author, Rivkah, and Yoga with expert Ester Malone.  Library staff had fun preparing for the programs and the teens seemed to have a good time.

This past summer we had an Eclipse Ball in honor of the release of "Breaking Dawn," the fourth book in the Twilight Series written by Stephenie Meyers. We formed a prom committee of teens who planned the event. We handed out invitations. Over 40 teens came on a Saturday night to listen to music, eat, play games, and more! About 75% of them came dressed up in formals. Almost our entire staff came and dressed up as well.
